So far we are probably looking at some fish from earlier higher water and new fish trickling in on medium-ish flows instead of one bigger batch of fish on a blow out event. Not sure yet how much of a change in flows in the Oak well see, but with the precip received so far it shouldnt be bad enough for a blow out. When high flows drop and/or cold flows warm and/or dirty water clears then anglers who can make good drifts or swings get in on the action. Guys kept fishing, especially in the turbine channel (flows can only get so high). Since 1/4 inch of rain did not do much it looks like 1/2 inch or more of rain in a storm or otherwise would be needed to effect any positive change in flows. Then coupled with the mixed bag of Atlantics and steelhead and cohos, the hook up chances sound pretty good. More then not, fish are still in good green shape. A spate of water there too might drop back fish to downstream spots where guys are drifting and also bring on the last of the fresh run fish. The better reports I hear are from guys that have some Kings migrate past them or hold and they get some drifts to them.
